Editorial Review:
The Flavour Shaker is a fun, quirky and highly original food preparation item; Invented and endorsed by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver It will crush, grind, mix and release flavour from whole spaces, herbs, garlic, nuts, citrus rind or even lime or bay leaves. The secret of the Flavour Shaker is its little ceramic ball, which crushes, grinds, bruises and mixes the contents releasing all sorts of amazing smells and zingy flavours, while you are shaking it.

he's fab. it's fab. i love it, my ten year old loves it. a def improvement on the mortar and pestle. come on - it's cool. it's funky. and it does the job while looking great. just like jamie himself.
V1 Good idea, bad implementation. V2 Much better. == V1 ==
Bought one for doing 1 portion marinades, crushing coriander & mustard seeds (which fly everywhere out of a pestle and mortar) and because it looked easier and quicker to clean than my pestle and mortar. By M. CRANFIELD "Biltong" (Bermuda) - See all my reviews Good idea, but the two halves don't lock together properly and tend to come apart when shaken vigorously, unless you hold it clamped in two hands. Also I ordered the stainless steel version and they sent the plastic one... Amazon UK is only a shadow of the US version... Maybe Bezos needs to look at how things are operating in the UK/EU... Maybe it should have been made in China... more info
Eh? I quite like Jamie Oliver so I didn't want to bash him but I'm afraid this deserves it. It does nothing at all. You put a clove of garlic in and shake the thing and open it up to find a...clove of garlic. The worst device ever. I'm actually surprised he put his name to it. Its not cheaply made or a 'bit rubbish', it actually doesnt work at all. It does NOTHING. You might as well put a pea in a panda pop bottle and shake it about.
