Apple iPod 30GB Video/Black (5th Generation) Don't get an iPod! They are highly overated and more often than not are owned as status symbols. I switched from iPod to sony after about 8 months because I was tired of having to buy downloads from itunes that my sister had already downloaded from virgin media which are compatable with practically all makes of mp3 player except for iPod. Witchcraft! All my cds squeezed down a wire onto this handsome little machine. Its just great. who says that technology cant be good looking too. Apple really do know how to make kit desirable.
I got mine xmas October 2006, it still works! Overall my ipod still works, did a great job over the years. Mine is scratched, regardless of the use of covers but the point being it still works. The battery life on mine is down to about 6 hours if I let it play and don't change tracks too often. Worth every penny even though it doesnt allow for a variety of file types, as an mp3 player the sound quality is good and video quality is great. Doesnt last Bought this end 2006. Was great at the beginning-quality sound, nice to watch videos and also plugged it into my tv. But within a year and 2 months the right earphone stopped working. Found out that it wasn't a earphone problem but a connector problem. Apple will not repair it and will offer a 10% discount if i buy a new one!! considering that I paid around £170 for it dont think its worth the money.
