Lots of fun! I think this is one of the best games I've played for the Nintendo DS. It's highly addictive and the graphics and music are really good. There are lots of different modes you can play, including the ever famous adventure mode where you collect balloons - each balloon giving you access to more race tracks and new worlds. Diddy Kong Racing = Definitely Not A Mario Kart Rip-Off For anyone who has played Mario Kart 64 and not Diddy Kong Racing 64, the two games are very different. Sure, you race in karts and use powerups; but although I love Mario and thoroughly enjoyed playing Mario Kart as a child, Diddy Kong has so much more substance. The gameplay is a lot more detailed and challenging, whereas Mario Kart is very easy and you easily become bored with the single player mode. Mario Kart is so much better ! This game is very boring, i bought the game and took it back to the shop the next week. Mario Kart is such a better game, which i do recommend to anyone.
A bit too easy My missus bought this game a couple of weeks ago as she fancied a cartoony racing game. She wasn't particularly impressed with it. I've had a play with it too and if I had played the original on the N64 then I might have pangs of nostalgia which added warmth for the game - but I didn't and was left a little cold by it.
