Brilliant Bit of Kit Nuvi Series, StreetPilot c5XX Series
Clipped my Garmin Nuvi 250W to the swan neck mount with ease. The mount sits on top of the dashboard and stays rock solid - no shake or vibration at all. I took the car out for a test drive and did a few sharp turns. The mount did not budge, passing the 'test-drive' with ease. A great bit of kit and well worth the money. No more unsightly tell-tale suction cup marks on the inside of the windscreen. Buy it!
Dashboard mount I bought this for three reasons and it has satisfied all three perfectly. 1] I wanted to be able to swap it from vehicle to vehicle easily 2] I didn't want the fuss of having to remove the sucker - and mark - from the windscreen for security and 3] when travelling with a passenger I wanted to be able to move the sat nav so that they could use features which needed button presses which would distract me from driving. Highly recommended As I did not want to mount to windscreen and the dashboard in both our Vectra and MR2 cars is not flat I subsequently bought a "bean bag" type mount (confusingly titled by Amazon as Nuvi Series, StreetPilot c5XX Series) and this is a far better mount than the suction one supplied as standard.
Holds the Garmin steady and does not move when cornering. More importantly can be moved when leaving car so as not to leave any tell-tale signs. Highly recommended.
Top Kit This is one superb piece of kit from Garmin.
I bought this to use with the Nuvi 200W and it's just a shame Garmin didn't supply this with the Satnav instead of the Windows mount.
Once you've used this you'll never use the Windows mount again.
