A Proper Show In this age of manufactured boy bands and special effects laden tat, I steered away from Supernatural solely because of its marketing tagline of 'supernatural gets sexy' or some such pith. I suspect it put many traditionalists off, which was a huge marketing mistake. That said, I stumbled upon it one evening on ITV and watched it. The thing is, Supernatural is a very good show - gritty, solid, well-acted with good storylines, its milieu is personified by the 1967 Chevy Impala taking centre stage alongside... more info
The dead should stay dead - didn't you see Pet Sematary? After witnessing the death of their mother by paranormal means, (she was sucked up into the ceiling and then burst into flames) two brothers, Sam and Dean, travel all over America to avenge her death. They hunt demons, ghosts and whatever else they can find in the hope that they will eventually capture and kill the demon responsible for their mother's demise. Supernatural is one of the shows that is destined to follow in the footsteps of Buffy and X files, becoming a truly great dark fiction series.... more info
Get in the Purple nurples and draw the curtains cos u will be hooked!! I haven't bought a half season of a show before but I just couldn't wait til the complete series became available. This show is so addictive! I know a lot of guys like it but it really is for the girls. Dean and Sam are just so hot! So the season starts with John selling his soul to the devil in order to save Dean and of course that comes with endless angst and a vow from Dean to protect Sam or to.....well, I won't spoil it for you! So the two continue their road trip killing all sorts of things... more info
Not bad at all I watched the first season and was pleasantly pleased by what I saw, not being a girl or in it for the eye candy I wasnt sure what to expect but the plot is compelling enough to keep the whole things working even if some of the spooks seem a bit to " Buffyisque " for my liking. The second season so far does away with that in the sense its more pyschologically driven . The acting chemistry which was the most enjoyable thing for me is still right up to scratch and we get to see some new characters (... more info
