good piece of kit but We brought this product when it first came out and we did not realise that there is a design fault on it. When you use this product and you keep lifting up the screen and putting it down, the screen will start to rub on the 'Push here to close button which is protruding over the unit ever so slightly. We took it back to a Sony recommended service agent and they mentioned someone else had brought in the same model with the same condition. Woeful sound but excellent in all other regards! I recently bought this Sony DVD player after having looked at most of the competing models available. I think there are several points which recommend this over other players
Firstly the build quality is top notch with a nice rotating screen.

Sony DVPFX850B Portable DVD Player This unit has the build quality you would expect from Sony, and it feels like a serious piece of kit. The screen is one of the best available with its 800 x 480 pixel resolution. I would estimate the useful viewing angle to be around 90 degrees. The battery clips on at the bottom of the player, and is not required if plugged in via the mains adapter or via the car plug. It also has a "video in" socket so you can use it as a monitor. jeeze, amazon's *really* slashed it's cost, i spent ALLOT more for mine but meh, since it's now so affordable why not grab yourself this portable piece of luxury
the maneuverability's awesome, the screen is slick and the picture and settings allow you to view movies whichever way you like
the first film i showcased on it was tokyo drift and it looked superb i'm still trippin' on amazons price! lol, but am glad more people can now afford to get their own swish... more info
