Archos 704 wifi, a little world in your hands This was exactly the kind of device i was looking for. A multipurpose item of good quality with a big good resolution screen. Its slightly heavy but shows the quality of the build. It was slightly annoying to have to purchase extra plug-ins but that done i was happy. I put DivX movies on it and they played well. I surfed the web very easily using the internal touch keypad, checked hotmail etc. There was very little it did not do apart from actually receive TV. My dream gadget! Buy it now! I have had mine a few weeks now and absolutely love it! I would have given it 5 stars if the archos support staff ( thats a laugh!) would answer my emails about the recording from the tv feature using the timer. Don't forget... to do anything with this unit you will also need the docking station so that's extra to the price as well, AND you can purchase a... more info

Fast forward 15 years, and apart from some of the more expensive airlines or those in the middle-east / east-asia, we're stuck with the same aging technology. Take my last flight to the states; the in-flight entertainment didn't start till we'd been in the... more info
