Poor I would agree that this is virtually impossible to fly forwards, but - I did not find sturdy - within an hour a rotor had broken and then the control box started to rattle and gave up the ghost!
GREAT Just got it this morning, flew it for about 12 minutes! really fun, i cant wait to master it! its really sensitive which i suppose allows accurate flying. Definately value for money. Thanks very much
Great fun, but sadly fragile We bought this for my sons 8th birthday and it has proven a big hit. Hovering is simple and he was just mastering the directional flight when the tail rotor motor connection broke. I was expecting the main rotors to die first, as they look very flimsy. However the machine tends to bounce safely when it falls from a great height, so I'm not sure how the tail motor failed. My advice is to find a very big room to fly it in with absolutely no obstructions.
Great fun, some limits I've just had mine for half a day and have flown it for maybe 20 minutes total so far. Easy enough to learn how to hover it, and while very sensitive, the yaw trim control does allow you to take out any residual yaw rotation to let you achieve a stable non-rotating hover with no control inputs. It needs more pitch authority though. The original tail rotor as fitted had little pitch effect, so I fitted the larger one that came in the box - no discerable effect. It's impossible to make it go forward at... more info
