GOOD hi, brought this from local small PC specialist
£49. putting it in was easy, only takes one expansion slot.
has its own fan, however i dont hear it. it it brilliant, can now run games like BF2142 on High, Call of Duty 4 on medium and even Crysis on low-medium. however the rest of my computer isnt the equivalent

Best budget - performance graphics card I've purchased this 2 weeks ago after I read through the reviews and compared prices. The time spend on the research was well worth it as this is the best budget / high performance combination you can get. Graphics are absolutely stunning. I played COD4 and was amazed with the graphics and performance. Would recommend to anyone, buy it, you won't regret it, except if you're a high profile gamer who's after a more sophisticated product.
Will it work why the price hike? I have an off the shelf HP pavillion desktop system that is now starting tho wheeze with modern games (if they run at all) Is this card the answer to all my problems? The last review made me think again regarding power supply requirements. I have a 300 watt power supply and only once you have bought the card do you find out that the minimum spec is 350 watts. Why is this not included in the online product description? Will my power supply cope? Also why has the price gone up in the last week? Help !!
Inno3D 8500GT The 8500GT is quite a capable card, it plays a lot of the newest games out, bioshock is playable for example, my pc can run doom 3 on ultra settings no problem now, thanks to this. There is a larger 1gb version, but the 512mb version, here, has a faster memory clock, which means it loads things faster, most games don't really need more than 512mb anyway. I thought the fan was very noisy, but this was because I had upgraded from a fanless card, its really ok. Install was easy, as it is a single slot... more info
