More than a stopgap I bought the Philips 1gb as I was looking for something to tide me over until I'd either saved up or made up my mind on something bigger and flashier. The price stood out by a mile. It's got a great little screen. I'm using it mainly on a bus to work so the sound quality isn't that much of an issue really but it's pretty good anyway. it does its job fine by me! I got this because I needed something cheap unlike an ipod and this was fine by me I am happy with it. works easy picture and sound is good no problems yet.
Outstanding value!! I cannot believe how good this is for the money. I just wanted a basic MP3 player for the gym and couldn't really justify the price of an iPod (and didn't like the limitations imposed by iTunes). Came across this and thought it would do the job. little gem Well after a lengthy search I came accross this little gem for a bargain price on amazon, and I must say I think it's the bees knees for a 1gb, which is all I wanted,It's easy to use with windows media player sync the sound is amazing. Full marks to philips for this one.
