Why is this Fuji camera so poor? Quite unquantifiable for Fuji - we all know their cameras are usually amongst the fastest and produce excellent pictures even at very low light levels. Their cameras are usually brilliant value for money, their sensors producing more useable pixels with larger pictures than competing models. My experience (6 weeks) with this camera is that, if nothing else, the sensor is unreliable; exposure varies widely and white balance is unstable (slightly different colour cast) even under similar conditions. Great Specification but poor performance Fuji Film Fine Pix F480 Looking at the reviews there must be a proportion of good working models and a proportion of sub-standard releases. Sadly I felt mine to be quite poor. Other than the low frame size in movie mode the specification for this camera is quite outstanding, if only it could have delivered on it. Unsuitable I've had some fantastic cameras in the past, my Samsung NV10 died on me a couple of months ago after being kicked across the floor on a drunken night out.. and I am sad to be parted with it.. anywho.. I had this camera for christmas this year, and I can't stand it! There is no manual mode on this compact, as I am a photography student, I am learning the tricks of cameras and I need the manual to test. . . I have a Canon 400D for that.. but for when I'm just walking around with friends, and I see something..... more info
