• Slow-burning
  An understated score that at first underwhelms, but rewards repeated listens, as it's a slow-burner. Shore's dark massed strings make occassional appearances, but mainly he concentrates on simple Russian-flavoured melodies. It slowly bewitches you, coming across occassioanlly like a Russian 'Godfather', with it's folk inspired lyricism.
  Dark, haunting and bewitching, it may not be Shore's best work (and it's short at just under 37 minutes) - hence to 4 star score - but even routine Shore is still just... more info
