• Nero 8 retrograde
  Remember when Nero looked like a piece of shareware, well version 8 still does.
  I purchased Nero 6 when it first came out and found it a most user friendly piece of software, but with Nero 8 they have totally lost the plot.
  It's like trying to find your way around a maze!
  If your current version does everything you want, stick with it.
  Me I'm reloading Nero 6.
  

• Works great, loaded with functionality
  Installed well and functions great on my Vista PC.
  It is easy to use and does what it says on the box. The only drawback that I have noticed is that it is heavy on system resources. Apart from that, I am happy with this product.
  As with most software, remember to check for product updates on the Nero website to make the most of your purchase.

• where is the good old Nero?
  Ok, this used to be the best burning software out there, and it set the standard for many to follow. That was before, now, it is a different matter. It took me ages to install the program, and it used my memory like there is no tomorrow. I had a few problems with it, system freezes, disc errors, multiple system restarts to go back to normal. The burning engine itself is excellent, it gets the job done, but do not even think about using any other program while running this one, otherwise, you WILL have some... more info

• Problems with Nero 8 / Nero Vision 5
  I have been using Nero products for many years, but never again.
  Nero 8 works well until you come to edit DVDs using Nero Vision, when audio and visuals go out of synch. Customer services have been absolutely useless and take an age to respond. After many hours I have now reverted back to Nero 7 which works. I have been told by customer services that Nero Vision 5 is a little fussy and the problem resides with my source files - how come Nero 7,Roxio and Windows DVD maker have no problems with the same... more info
