  I'm not a camera expert, and wanted something small and light that was reasonably priced and easy to use, and always having been a Sony fan opted for the W80. Picture quality is excellent, the macro function is exceptionally good, and the speed at which the camera intitally starts up and is ready to take is excellent, so you rarely miss a shot even when the camera is turned off. Nothing to fault really, it may not have as many shooting functions etc as some other cameras, but I didn't buy a camera to take... more info
