• A very good score
  There are some really good pieces of music in the score for Transformers. I really liked Autobots/No Sacrifice No Victory and The All Spark/Bumblebee (these were variations on the same theme), Optimus, Scorponok and Arrival to Earth. I only gave it 4 stars because it didn't sound completely original. In fact some of the sounds are very reminiscent of Hans Zimmer's music in Batman Begins. This shouldn't be a complete surprise as Steve Jablonsky has worked in Zimmer's studio.

• Hans Zimmer Improved
  Steve Jablonsky is down the Hans Zimmer alley among other. But he is better on this cd. This is an exciting soundtrack presenting the classic music from the movie with brass, choirs and more. Good for solitary listening, work, driving, playing wargames, robbing banks and other creative work...it's just a good soundtrack.

• Turns a good movie into a great movie!
  Some movies' scores will pass you by unnoticed. It's fair to say that a great score can't save a bad movie (Spiderman 3 anyone?), but a bad score can let down a good story. What you have here is an outstanding score turning a good movie into an unforgettable experience.
  Even without the visuals, this score stands on its own as a moving and engaging composition. Combined with the film, it is an experience. Perhaps it's just me, but this score evokes the deep rumbling voice of Optimus Prime at every beat... more info

• "Send out the signal - we are here."
  After the fan reaction and subsequent online petition to get the score to the new Transformers movie released - it is finally here. Despite being a loud and thumpingly enjoyable score it nevertheless seems to be lacking in something.
  The CD comprises 20 tracks but 11 of these have `different versions in the film' and the track order is not sequential which is a little annoying - but that's only a minor quibble.
  So what we get is a soundtrack a few seconds shy of an hour that sounds very much... more info
