Editorial Review:
Bringing to an end one of the most successful British sit-coms of the last decade, Vicar Of Dibley: Holy Wholly Happy Ending is a fitting conclusion to one of the most enjoyable programmes of recent times.
There are two feature episodes here, which feature the now-traditional Vicar Of Dibley cast of characters. Dawn French, of course, takes the lead role as Geraldine Grainger, but in the traditional of all good sit-coms, she’s joined by a terrific supporting cast. Highlights include Gary Waldhorn as David Horton, Emma Chambers as Alice and Roger Lloyd Pack’s Owen. The laughs are then spread fairly evenly, and very frequently, between the whole ensemble.
The focus of these final episodes, however, is Geraldine’s romance with Harry (Richard Armitage), and while the script (co-written by Richard Curtis) treads a comfortable and predictable path through this particular storyline, that’s besides the point. It’s the warmth and charm of the characters of The Vicar Of Dibley that win through here, and ultimately deliver an appropriate send-off for the series.
So while it’s a pity that The Vicar Of Dibley has finally drawn to an end, Holy Wholly Happy Ending proves to be a great way to go for a show that’ll be fondly remembered and frequently rewatched for many years to come. Amen to that. --Simon Brew

It Should've Been Me! The Vicar of Dibley was always, from the start, hilarious and entretaining. But what a finish! Episode 1: The Handsome Stranger: A 'layabout' Londoner called Harry (Richard Armitage) comes to Dibley-and he and Geraldine are instantly fixated with each other. However, she sees him with another woman whom she believes to be his girlfriend. She then thinks of a music video-It Should've Been Me (one of the funniest things i have ever seen). However, it all becomes clear-and Harry proposes to Geraldine.more info
Outstanding Comedy! What a way to finish! The final two episodes of "The Vicar Of Dibley" are simply hilarious, totally enjoyable and will also make you feel sad at the same time when knowing that there will be no more new shows made of this fabulous, long running sitcom.
Dawn French was wonderful as the trendy, chocolate and male loving vicar as were all the rest of the actors who played the weird and wonderful country folk! If you don't love at least one of those characters, something's wrong!

PLEASE READ THIS! This is a very good DVD with a very good ending to a very good sitcom, HOWEVER, don't buy the combination of this with the complete Vicar of Dibley DVD. If you put these collections together, you will have the same contents as 'The Vicar of Dibley Ultimate Collection', but if you just buy that instead, it costs over £20 less. So, the message is: DON'T BUY THIS WITH THE COMPLETE COLLECTION, BUY THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION INSTEAD AS IT IS CHEAPER.
The best episode!! This has to be the best episode ever made, although there are other numerous ones to remember, who could forget Alice and Hugos wedding?
They did save the best for last though with Geraldine getting married to Harry. The bit in the church with 'It should have been me' playing in the background was hilarious, one of the funniest moments in the entire serious. This episode deserves 5 stars, and i hope one day they will make another series!
