• Poorly supported and glitchy
  Incredibly poor customer support.
  Archos will only deal with its customers problems if you have a WMA number which you can only get after queueing on their premium rate "support" lines. Support lines are off hand to rude. Goods returned not fixed.
  This is a real draw back as Archos' appear inheritantly glitchy.

  I bought the 160gb version that was supposed to have manual and reg instructions on the drive. not there no help on archos site. after a week of trying eventually found how to purchase plug in for web browser and set up archos account. gradually learnt how to use it. the touch screen is NOT finger friendly, it's slow but audio sound is great through h/p and even a £3 lead into my amp. • This is a fantastic bit of kit.
  What can I say, this is the second Archos this year being an upgrade from the AV500. I bought both from QVC as I think they are better value for money plus you can try them for a month before making your mind up. When I first turned it on I said WOW and went through everything on the screen and said WOW again. It is so easy to use and fast just touch the screen and its there, I have since put loads of music on it and the sound is good through the built in speakers but fantastic with ear buds.
