IS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS This telly is fantastic -I too thought 40 inch would be too big where my old 36inch cath ray went -in fact it takes up less room!!. Looks fantastic and in low light seems to float in the room -you soon get used to the big picture. Everyone who has seen it comments "Wish I`d bought that". With the Xbox attached you are in the games. John Lewis wanted £1500 for it -good delivery from Amazon -no problems. You can also plug your P.C. in it for a 40 inch monitor. Very pleased with TV Dont get this ZF model mixed up with the XF (they look idendical). This TV is superb in every way. Looks great when off and fantastic when on. At its best in HD.
Info on Amazon website doesnt match toshiba website ??? on amazon it says this telly has 2X30W audio whereas on toshiba website it claims to only be 20W in total! also dynamic contrast ratio info on amazon is different from toshiba website info. am confused.
Excellent SD, Even better HD After months of research I plumped for the 40ZF and cannot say I am dissapointed. The standard definition is superb (through Virgin media) with many channles appearing to be upscaled. The sound is astonishingly good considering the small speakers, indeed I was considering purchasing a seperate (Onkyo incidentally) AV reciever with 5.1 beforehand, however feel in no hurry to now.
