Great little drive. I had this drive for about a month or two and I like it a lot.
It's fast and the best of it, is that it fell onto ceramic tiles from the first floor of the office where I work when I was getting downstairs and it bounced and landed on the other side of the room... I lost hope at that moment, but when I plugged it into the USB port, it worked! I am happy with this purchase and couldn't recommend this little drive enough!
disintegrates easily I bought this memory stick 6 weeks ago. Two weeks ago I put it in my computer and when I wanted to pull it out again, I only held the rubber case in my hand, leaving the electronics bit in the USB port. It still works but now disintegrates frequently. I doubt that it is still "rugged, water and shock resistant" Learning outcome:
a) do not pull out of the usb port by only touching the key ring rubber bit
b) probably don't buy it to start with

Corsair now points to my system but I tried this on four completely different systems and against my old Lexar stick using HDbench: I get RandomWrite in the 350kb/s region. A 1MB file already takes several seconds, a backup of a few good files can easily take twenty minutes. My four year old 1 GB Lexar stick is three times faster according to HDbench and gets to about 1000kb/s. I consider my... more info

However, what seemed like a practical idea turned out to be anything but. That rubber cap - after a few days, you just know you're going to lose it. You have to, how easily it slips off. Or leastways, if you're going to use the Corsair as a keyring, which I did. Picked it up once in the street at the front of my house. After that, it was only a matter of time.
