Internal memory corruption The internal memory quickly became irreversibly corrupted when loading files from computer via the USB port, a problem alluded to by a previous user. Although it has a USB connection (which is the problem), it lacks a USB port that will display images from a standard USB memory-stick.
fab item This is the third frame i have bought as presents for relatives. All have been very pleased.
This was the first one i have bought that needs to be always plugged in, but generally they sit on a shelf anyway.
The picture quality is superb. The instruction book is vague but it takes two minutes to figure out what the symbols mean and work your way around the settings. Small internal memory but as this was a purchase for grandmother we will be regularly sending memory cards for updates... more info
Does exactly what it says on the box Philips 7FF2FPA/05 7" Photoframe I wanted a photo frame for my birthday and I looked around, and did my "homework", made a lot easier I must say by having the ability to look at the instruction booklets for Phillips products on their website.
I wanted one that would just display my photos, not play music.
I wanted one that would turn itself on and off.
And one that would take all cards formats and that's what it does, no bells or whistles just a frame displaying my photos.

Does the Job Well We ordered one for my elderly mother. We have just set it up - handy to have a few teenage sons around to do this quickly. It needs a memory card - the device's own storage capacity seems to cope with only some twenty pictures. We linked it to our PC then dragged dozens of pictures into the hard drive card duly inserted. Worked a treat first time. Picture quality good, although the screen is not that big. Main problem? Buttons on the device eg to set the sequencing frequency are fiddly. Best... more info
