  • boring and superficial scenario
in 19th century in japanese society then is praticaly impossible that a japanese woman can take a man'scoup of tea and drink from it as it shown in the movie. at that time traveling to japan from France was very hard and dangerous, in this movie it is shown as he goes for a weekend journey, no reference of how long he was traveling, how his wife feels while he was so far and for so long.... and there are many others "holes" in the screenplay. the unnecessary scene of how they build the garden etc... such... more info

Much of the story is conveyed by... more info
