Students give this the thumbs up My daughters' first entry level Acer laptops had reached the end of the road but had given excellent service. We went 'halves' on replacements and decided to stick with Acer. The girls are delighted with the laptops and like the unusual design. They also like the built in speakers which are unspectacular but are adequate if you have no external kit handy to plug in. The display is very clear and sharp. Good all rounder I bought this laptop a couple of months ago and its been consistently good from the minute it was switched on. The laptop has great smoothe running technical capabilities (2.5GHZ processor, 2GB Ram, 120GB HDD) and the picture is outstanding, the cristal bright screen making a huge difference on that one. As for sound its decent, but for the price you get some good software thrown in and a high performance no fuss laptop for your hard earned cash! Dead Cheap and everything you could want. Really good, early days, only had it a few but it can run Halflife 2, Spore, Counter Strike and all sorts. That and its pretty good at everything else you could want, the wireless picks up well, everything runs smooth, Vista still really confuses me. But thats not the laptops error.
