BSOD - Takes me back I bought this laptop after reading the reviews posted here an optimistically expected another cracking laptop from Acer. I don't know if I bought a Friday afternoon manufactured model but it seems probable. I currently also own an Aspire 3000 of the same brand and have found this laptop superb hence my return to Acer. The problem I encountered initially was the downloading of the O\S on-line and thus the lag in initial operation. This I found tolerable as I knew it would eventually realise itself... more info
please note - no operating disc supplied No problems with the computer but if you are going to surf you will know about viruses making a nuisance in operating systems and this laptop comes without the disc. I had never considered that any computer would be supplied without the disc. I have asked to change the laptop to a model provided with a disc

Very Happy With It I've had mine for close to a month and I'm very happy with it. I'm no Laptop expert, but I like this. It makes my five year old PC look like an antique. I mainly use it for the Internet and writing programs, so I haven't really tested it's full potential, but it hasn't shown any weakness in anything so far. It's easy to set up.
