Great album!! I was a massive fan of Big calm. Listened to it non stop a few years back but since then i kind of forgot about Morcheeba and subsequently did not get much play time on my ipod.. Then my Girlfriend surprised me with tickets to watch them at the Shepherds Bush Empire. They blew me away! As soon as i got home i listened to there new album which i didnt even know was out. Very impressive Having previously only bought their 'best of / parts of the process', I thought I'd give this a whirl.
Way better than I expected and to be honest better than their 'Best of' album!
Don't assume you'll like just cos it's Morcheeba I'm a fairly objective person. I've enjoyed every other Morcheeba LP but I wasn't keen on this one. The first song, yes, is superb. But after that, it's pretty underwhelming. WATCH OUT for these Amazon reviews -generally people only "review" things unless they're fans. Who knows? Maybe you'll like it. Hey, maybe I will if I keep listening. But I've played it a good few times and it's definately the weakest of their albums I've heard.
Perfect I recieved this album about 2 months ago and immediately fell in love with it. Each track is different and each has its own feel and mood, evoking different emotions in the listener. Brilliantly produced, with amazing vocals throughout. Straight to the top of my CD collection as a favourite.
