Editorial Review:
Light, compact and easy to use: the new Cyber-shot DSC-S730 is a great entry point to the world of digital photography! The DSC-S730 is remarkably affordable, but doesnt compromise on image quality. It lets you grab clear, blur-free photos thanks to its easy handling and user-friendly controls. Youll be able to set up shots, check results, share your photos and read menus on its 2.4 LCD display, even in full sunlight. The DSC-S730 comes with a 7-megapixel Super HAD CCD sensor that takes amazingly bright and colourful photos, and has a 3x optical zoom and ISO 1250 sensitivity mode, so you can take pictures at faster shutter speeds to reduce the risk of camera shake, even with moving subjects. If youre after a camera with great all-round performances, the DSC-S730 is just what you need.

Good but batteries !! Paid £70 a couple of months ago from Amazon. Good value camera for the money, takes excellent pics and video but can only use standard batts which don't last that long.Say 20 to 50 pics depending. Can't use rechargeables.
Pity as brilliant otherwise.
Battery life not a problem - get hi-power rechargeables Battery life is not a problem. Get hi-power rechargeables. Sony do branded ones (even available in larger branches of Tesco!!). I personally use Energizer Advanced rechargeables with a rated capacity of 2500 mAh. They last about 100 shots per pair. I recharge them with an Energizer 15 minute recharger (actually takes about 20 minutes! - and the batteries come out HOT - so I leave another minute or too before putting back in the camera). I suggest other reviewers are using cheap, low-capacity batteries or... more info
Batteries? cant see the problem This series of cameras are very good. My daughter ( whos 2) threw mine in the bin when i wasnt looking and it gor thrown out ! anyway, despite what some have been saying, I use rechargeable AA batteries for my Sony Cybershots and have done for 4 years ! They are so much better than non rechargeable and far more eco friendly Far more. Buy two or three packs of recahrgeables so you always have a spare and you will be ok. Best Sound quality on a small camera mic there is !
Great camera, excellent value I bought this camera after being impressed by the picture quality of the cybershot photos on my sony mobile phone.
The camera is really easy to use, i prefer to use the auto setting and my photos always turn out well.
It can take a fair amount of punishment. I have dropped it countless times on nights out and even had drinks spilled on it and it still looks and works perfectly.
If you are looking for an easy to use camera that gives you great quality pictures every time then this is the... more info
