Editorial Review:
Canon has added yet another fabulous camera to its EOS range: the 450D! This digital camera, recently commended at the TIPA awards for its high performances, user-friendliness and ease of use, is packed full of technologies and special features. Its magnificent 12.2-megapixel CMOS sensor takes lifelike shots at rates of 3.5 frames per second, and its large focusing range picks out details from a distance. Your photos will be free from imperfections, because the EOS 450D includes a self-cleaning system, which uses three different techniques to dislodge dust from the sensor, while its DIGIC III processor shines by bringing you well-balanced, vivid colours to your shots. The EOS 450D is easy to handle and use thanks to its 3? LCD screen, which is great for direct shooting, and it comes with a 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. Canon doesn?t do things by halves; it achieves its goal each and every time. The successor to the 400D has finally arrived!

Excellent camera I took this to my trip in Dubai. As a new user of SLR's it took me a little time to get the hang of it, after a short while i was snapping everywhere. The picture quality is breathtaking. Wonderful camera

New to DSLR's? This is for you. I've had the 450D for a little while now, a great buy...easy to use, and once you get the hang of it you'll know where everything is. Granted you'll need to suss out the best ways of taking shots, and getting exposure right, but that will all come in time. The kit lens it comes with is pretty good - a good starter lens to go with this is the 50mm f1.8 MKII prime lens, cheap, and sharp...and pick your self up a couple of Sandisk SDHC 4GB Extreme III cards for your pics. Build wise, the camera feels solid,... more info
Carefully Check the Specs Before Purchase The Canon 450D is a lovely camera to use: it isn't too heavy and has a lot of pre-set modes for taking pictures in various conditions - night time, sport, portrait etc. - which is handy for the beginner who will often like to 'let the camera do the work for them'. There are also other settings that allow much more manual changes, but can combine with automatic features, so is really good for someone trying to learn how to use an SLR step by step. The lens that accompanies it is pretty good for most... more info
