There could be more to the Zen Stone but there isn't Yes, battery life... mine went dead after less than a year of usage which is disappointing. The logic of the navigation on the Zen Stone is frustrating; meant to be intuitive it is in fact a cluttered and often unresponsive effort which the designer could have avoided. It comes with no clip - I understand this is part of the 'pebble' design but from a practical point of view (i.e. when in the gym or on the move),and for something so small, a clip would have been highly useful. Not as good as its predessor without the microphone After a year of abuse the display on my old stone 2gb finally died, so I bought the new improved model with the microphone. It has all the good features of the old one - reasonable sound quality and its incredibly easy to use. It also has the bad features of the old one - inability to shuffle properly, and it really does need recharging quickly.
I don't really see the purpose of the mike - perhaps its a gimmick supposed to appeal to kids, as but they'll insist on having an i-pod anyway due to peer... more info
