Editorial Review:
Image quality meets comfort of use in the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W110. This cameras body hides a 7-megapixel CCD sensor and a BIONZ processor that can produce stunning photos in a diverse range of conditions. The Cyber-shot DSC-W110 captures details in 1080 Full HD format, so picture quality, contrast and colour rendering are all superb. Special smile and face detection functions for children and adults mean you can take portrait photos just like a pro, while the D-Range Optimizer improves exposure and contrast. The W110 from Sony also has a spectacular ISO sensitivity reaching ISO 3200, which reduces the effects of blur and allows you to take pictures in poorly lit conditions. Meanwhile, the 2.5 LCD screen, together with the optical viewfinder, makes the DSC-W110 extremely easy to use and allows you to monitor your work. Remarkably compact and powerful, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W110 will satisfy the needs of all users.

Value option but no image stabilisation A great camera for £88, but this entry level W series camera does not have Sony's Super Steady Shot image stabilisation that you get in all the other W series cameras as you go up the range. If you go up to the W170 you get Intellegent Scene Recognition as well. The W110 is a good camera and certainly worth buying above the S series which have plastic body and only 3x zoom. The W110 has aluminium body and 4x zoom.
Brill camera I bought the Sony dscw110 a little over a month ago. I am not a brilliant photographer however, the camera is small, light, looks good, takes brilliant photographs and is so easy to use a child could use it.
Very impressed also with the prompt delivery from Amazon.
Impressed all round.
Brilliant camera! After submitting a pretty bad review about the Sony 730 regarding terrible battery life i decided to give Sony another go and purchased the W110. Absolutely love it. Very easy to use, light and no battery problem as this uses rechargable Li-ion battery. Have taken about 100 practice shots and battery shill going strong. Had a play with the smile feature as didn't think it would work - but it does! Internal memory only holds about 5 photos but not a problem as 2GB card holds over 500. Not had chance to play... more info
Great I brought this camera a little over 1 month ago, and after extensive testing on a holiday to Berlin was very impressed with the features on this camera, only down side is the smile feature! i tied it out, and you need to be grinning ear to ear to make it work! but apart from that it is a good camera. Battery life is very good, and there is an internal memory just in case you run out of space on your memory card, i have a 4gb memory card and have found this sufficent for at least 4 days worth of photos,... more info
