Beautiful Tribute I've been listening to the album for a couple of days now and it just gets better everytime. I love stripped down well recorded work like this and I knew I would not be disappointed knowing Lofgren (Hi NILS!) was doing this. Great musician and wonderful work all round. Neil's old Martin as well as the heirloom piano fit beautifully!
Love ya Nils, Love ya Neil and 'Long May You Boys Run'...
Very splendid piece of work I cannot improve on some of the comments already made. This is a very pleasing piece of work -thoughtful, engaging and unpretentious. Nils' voice is not dissimilar in pitch to the legend that is Neil, and this gives his vocals here a slightly eerie echo of their writer and his unique singing style. All of the songs are played straight by Nils alone, on guitar and piano. Even the guitar was a gift from Neil way back in... more info
