I-phone without a phone If you own an I-Phone then perhaps you do not need an I-Pod touch. Ipod touch is an Iphone without a phone. The software is not that complicated to use and even the grownup can manage to operate it. apart from web brousing, this unit can deliver superb sound. if you record from your own albums, set the itune software to the highiest quality, which I beleive is 256kbs. my first ipod my ipod touch is my first ipod and i love it. infact i think i am turning into Gollum as "it is precious to me"!! good points it is a beautiful device, easy internet and email access (took about 1 minute to connect to my wifi and email on aol) has very good quality YouTube access, thousands of applications (some free) to download, and iTunes has masses of music, music videos, TV programmes and movies. there is little better than catching up with all the episodes of battlestar gallactica in the... more info
It's good but... Let me get the negative out of the way first. Prior to buying the new 2nd generation iPod Touch I owned a 5th generation 80GB iPod Video. The first thing that struck me about the iPod Touch was the inferior sound quality compared to that of my video iPod despite using the same high quality Sony headphones.
I did a google search and apparently Apple now use a digital to analogue convertor (DAC) chip from a different manufacturer in 6th generation iPods than those used in the 5th generation iPods. You... more info
